What is Insum Recruit (Insum)

Insum Recruit is a recruitment tool aimed at increasing the talent pool for any employer looking to make a hire.

Our members include, but are not exclusively, talent from under-represented groups, providing a tool that an employer can use alongside their regular search process to ensure an inclusive process.

Your information is stored on our secure database, using Invenias by BullHorn

What information is shared with whom?

When you sign up with Insum you share your employment history, skill set & background, your contact details and, if you choose and it's relevant, the under-represented group to which you self identify.

When a client contracts Insum, they submit a job description (job assignment), including the required skill set, experience and function for that role.  They will then receive a list of anonymous candidates with matching high level experience - title, product knowledge, skill-set, function, type of organization (no company names), plus a few relevant bullet points.  If the client is interested in pursuing any particular candidate they must submit a Request For More Information (RFMI), at which point that candidate will be contacted by Insum (unless already given permission) to share further information, including their name and contact details.

In the event I choose to self-identify to an under-represented group, do you share that information?

Only with your permission – at no stage do we share this information with any third party unless we have express permission from you.  We ask for this information for our confirmation that we are supplying all inclusive talent to our clients to increase their existing talent pool during any search.  We will use this information at a high level for macro data-capture.

Who has access to my information?

Only Insum employees.  At no stage does any third party have direct access to our secure data.  If a client shows interest in our talent through an assignment request, they must submit a RFMI (Request For More Information).

What is the difference between ACTIVE & PASSIVE?

Each individual has the option of being ACTIVE or PASSIVE.

An ACTIVE individual will show up in any matching search assignment and their anonymous profile shared with a client as part of a long list – should that client be interested in a RFMI, the candidate will agree (before or on request) to share their information.

A PASSIVE individual will not show up in anonymous profile list but will be contacted by Insum about any matching searches, to determine interest.

Access to PASSIVE talent is more expensive for the client, so if actively looking for opportunity, it’s suggested to identify as ACTIVE.

Can I change from ACTIVE to PASSIVE?

Yes – at any time.  Just contact us.

Can my current employer see my profile?

No – our system is only partially automated. We still believe in the human element when dealing with people, so we double check each match before submittal of any information.

Who pays for Insum?

The employer.
